    How to Configure a Panasonic DECT Phone to VoIPOffice

    This article will provide step-by-step instructions for configuring a Panasonic DECT phone to use with VoIPOffice.

    This guide will show you how to configure a Panasonic DECT Phone to VoIPOffice. The hardware used in this guide is a base (KX-TGP500) and a handset (KX-TPA50), however the same instructions apply to configure all phones in the Panasonic DECT range.

    1. Open your VoIPOffice Welcome Pack, as this contains the Extension details, which you need to configure your phone. The extension details include:
      1) Your VoIPOffice IP Address, for example: 77.240.58.250
      2) Your Extension Number, for example: 1001
      3) Your Extension Password (Secret), for example: Tuq*68beKg-V7_4*
              The details used for examples are not valid, please do not attempt to use them.

    2. Plug your phone and computer into the same network.

    3. Activate the web interface on your Panasonic hardware as its default setting is Off.
      On the handset:
      Select Menu (centre of joystick)
      Select Settings
      Select Network Settings
      Select Embedded Web
      Select On
      Select Enter
      When the phone beeps that means the web interface has been activated.
      Please note that the web interface will only be active for 15 minutes.

    4. Get the IP address of the base unit.
      On the handset:
      Select Menu
      Select IP Service
      Select Network Settings
      Select IP Settings
      This is the IP address which you will need to access the web administration interface.

    5. Enter the IP address into your web browser.
      The default login details are:
      Username: Admin
      Password: Adminpass

    6. Select the VoIP tab
    7. Under Phone Number
      For Phone Number enter Extension Number
      For Line ID enter Extension Number
      Under SIP Server enter VoIPOffice IP Address
      For Registrar Server Address enter VoIPOffice IP Address
      For Registrar Server Port enter 5060
      For Proxy Server Address enter VoIPOffice IP Address
      For Proxy Server Port enter 5060
      For Presence Server Address enter VoIPOffice IP Address
      For Presence Server Port enter 5060
      Under Outbound Proxy Server
      For Outbound Proxy Server Address enter VoIPOffice IP Address
      For Outbound Proxy Server Port enter 5060
      Under SIP Service Domain
      For Service Domain enter VoIPOffice IP Address
      Under SIP Source Port
      For Source Port enter 5060
      Under SIP Authentication
      For Authentication ID enter Extension Number
      For Authentication Password enter Extension Password (Secret)
      Select Save

    8. Check the Status page and you should see Registered.
      You can also check if your extension is online in the Monitor section of your VoIPOffice.


    If you see registered and online, then you have successfully registered your phone to VoIPOffice.
